I'm so thankful for the critiques of my colleagues on the
Magic Box.
I feel much more confident about this version of the image.
I was getting very tired of drawing bears, but after watching some critiques on our homework, I realized I did not know the actual structure of the bear's face. That's why I was getting kind of frustrated over the piece, so I did a bunch more studies. The most helpful thing was watching some youtube videos about grizzlies and then doing a few 3d contour tracings over some photos. I think I get to be done with this now and move onto another assignment!
Very nice work indeed. The missus is always calling me a bear so she will get a kick out of this illustration for sure. ^_^
